Unlike conventional online quizzes or telehealth portals, DiabetesRisk does not require account creation, registration, email sign-up, or identity verification. Specifically, we do not collect:

• Names, phone numbers, email addresses, or physical mailing addresses
• Government identification numbers, insurance details, or medical records
• Specific questionnaire answers (height, weight, family history, etc.)
• Calculated 1 to 10 risk scores or simulated lifestyle predictions
• User keystrokes, form inputs, or device-level health sensors

2. Local Storage and Client-Side State

We utilize standard browser localStorage solely for essential user interface preferences:

• Theme Preference (color-theme): Retains your selection between Light Mode and Dark Mode so you don't need to reselect your preference upon refreshing.

No health data, clinical scores, or questionnaire progress states are persisted in permanent storage or synchronized to external clouds. When you close or refresh your browser tab, your assessment session is discarded.

3. Third-Party Trackers and Advertising

We maintain an uncompromising stance against third-party medical tracking:

• We do not run Google Analytics, Meta (Facebook) Tracking Pixels, or advertising retargeting tags.
• We do not partner with data brokers, pharmaceutical advertisers, or insurance lead generators.
• We never monetize or sell aggregate or anonymized user metrics.

4. HIPAA and GDPR Privacy Alignment

Under the United States Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), entities collecting Protected Health Information (PHI) are subject to strict transmission guidelines. Because DiabetesRisk does not transmit, store, or receive individual health identifiers or PHI over server networks, our client-side architecture natively prevents unauthorized electronic health record exposure.

For users residing in the European Economic Area (EEA) and the United Kingdom under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), no personal data processing takes place on remote servers.

5. Printable Doctor Summary Feature

Our "Print Doctor Summary" feature executes standard browser print rendering (window.print()). The resulting document is generated directly from your local browser memory to your chosen printer or PDF export. No print job data passes through external web services.

6. Changes to This Policy

We may periodically update this Privacy Policy to reflect technical enhancements or statutory updates. Any revisions will be published immediately on this page with an updated modification date.
